Senator Mike Miller married his wife Patti after meeting as a student at the University of Maryland. They settled into Mike's hometown of Clinton, Maryland and raised a family of five, one son and four daughters.

Their eldest daughter, Melissa, is a graduate of Villanova and the Catholic University of America Law School. She is a former Assistant State's Attorney in Prince George's County, and sits on the Democratic Central Committee in Calvert County where she lives with her husband Tony Scott and their children.

The family's twins, Michelle and Melanie, are both honored to be graduates of Salisbury State University. Michelle also graduated from Physical Therapy School at the University of Maryland at Baltimore. She has four children. Melanie is currently working for Comcast Cable coordinating community events.

Tommy, the couple's only son, is a graduate of the University of Maryland and the University of Baltimore School of Law. He and his wife Dawn have four children. Tommy is a former Commissioner in the Maryland Parole System and now serves as a District Court judge in Anne Arundel County.

The youngest Miller, Amanda, a graduate of Loyola University in Baltimore, has been working as a Speech Pathologist in the Anne Arundel County public school system since the fall of 2000. She received her Masters Degree in Speech Pathology from Loyola College. She has two children.

Senator Miller and Patti currently live in Chesapeake Beach in Southern Maryland and are the proud grandparents of 14 grandchildren. When not at community events or working in the legislature or his law firm, Mike is an avid reader, and is especially interested in Maryland and Civil War history.
